You can either use self check-in or I can meet you at the cottage.  Let me know when booking which you prefer.  Check out at 11AM.

I live right down the road, so please reach out to me by text or phone if you have any questions or need anything during your stay.  I respect your privacy, but am available if you need me!

There is a full kitchen so that you can cook your favorite comfort food!  Please note, however, there is not a dishwasher.

Durgin Covered Bridge is right by the cottage!  Hike the Sandwich Range or just doze in the hammock!

We have deliberately set the cottage up to be a refuge for either a couple or a solo traveler. If two friends are traveling together and don't want to share the queen bedroom, we can make up the second bedroom for privacy upon request.

There is an electric grill for your use.  Enjoy dinner on the deck.

Please be aware that you will be in the country.  We do have forest creatures pass through the yard.  Please do not leave any food outside!

The cottage is not suitable for children under the age of 12 due to the proximity to the river.

We respectfully ask that, if you must travel with an animal, you seek other accommodations.  

No events or parties.  This is a place for quiet contemplation.  Any parties or events will be grounds for immediate cancellation of your remaining reservation with no refund.

No smoking / vaping of any kind in the cottage.  There is a smoking area outside.

The slope of the yard to the river makes it unsuitable for guests with mobility needs.

We have purposely designed Cold River Retreat to be a place to shut down and relax.  However, there is Wifi at the property as well as a TV with ROKU.  Cell service is sometimes touchy.

It has long been my dream to share my special retreat with others looking for a quiet refuge from this sometimes crazy world.  I hope that you will feel the peace and serenity here at the cottage that I do!

Cold River Retreat is located directly on the Cold River in Sandwich, NH, near Durgin Bridge.
